Get Alerts on Cheap Airfare

Recently, I have been a huge fan of Scott’s Cheap Flights. It is a service that sends out emails several times a week alerting subscribers of flight promotions and mistake fares. They send out an array of messages ranging from last-minute deals to promotions on several months notice.

I have a list of places I would like to eventually visit and when an alert comes through that is at a convenient time and a price that I like then I immediately follow his advice and purchase a flight. Typically there is a window of a few days to purchase a flight. These alerts must be acted on quickly as some of them are promotions or mistake fares.

I was a bit apprehensive at first because a lot of sights are “gimmicky” and are not helpful. However, Scott and his cheap flight alerts are the real deal. There isn’t a catch and there are no gimmicks. Scott is basically a friend who tells you hey this is a great deal if you are interested. We have liked the service so much that we have used it twice since signing up several months ago. He has different levels of service depending on how many alerts you want. To his free subscribers, he sends out 2-3 emails a week. Premium subscribers get 3x the alerts and get a 30-minute head start before free subscribers.

The first ticket we purchased with Scott’s warning was a direct flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam for $606USD. This is an incredible deal, when I have looked in the past deals were ranging from$1,200-$1,600. Maybe, just maybe, there would be a flight for$850 if there was a promotion going on. We saved $1,188 on flights with his first alert! We received a notification the week prior from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam for$450 but we were too slow on purchasing the flight and missed on the deal. When we saw the non-stop, direct flight for $606 we were completely prepared and booked the flight right away.

While waiting for our trip to Europe we received an alert advertising flights from San Francisco to Phnom Penh with a layover in Tokyo for $426. We have tried to make it to Cambodia in the past but due to circumstances we were unable to go. We thought about it for a few minutes and then impulsively purchased the tickets. This ticket cost us$426 a piece, which was amazing because I’ve never flown to Asia from the US for less than $840. However, this flight had a layover in Haneda with an Airport switch from Haneda to Narita.

When we search for international flights we look from SLC, DEN, LAX, and SFO. My boyfriend and I have credit cards connected to different airlines and we use those points for domestic flights. Scott also offers airline credit card consultations to his Premium subscribers. He embarrassingly admits to having over 65 different credit cards.

We were free subscribers for the first two purchases and this service is valuable to us so we have upgraded. If you aren't satisfied with it within the first 30-days he will refund 100% of your money.

We understand that traveling is expensive. We want to give you the tools to help you use your vacation time and hard earned cash more effectively. I cringe inside when friends unknowingly overpay for a flight, so hopefully Scott's Cheap Flights can help you check off destinations on your bucket list.
